Controller, DAW & UX Design
We’ve already praised the UX design of Studiologic’s Numa X 73 and Numa X 88 stage pianos, and now the same approach has made its way into the SL-mk2 series. The new models feature four endless rotary encoders, each with a color-coded LED ring to indicate which MIDI zone it controls.
These encoders also double as DAW controls as well as pressure-sensitive knobs for mute/solo functions. Further, they allow seamless sequencer track navigation along with essential transport controls.
Compared to the previous generation, the SL-mk2 models now feature only two joysticks instead of three, but gain two additional controllers. These are fully programmable for each of the 100 patches and can perform a variety of tasks.
Studiologic confirms compatibility with Ableton Live, Apple Logic Pro, Steinberg Cubase, and any Mackie Control-compatible DAW software.
