Vienna Symphonic Library

Vienna Symphonic Library (VSL) is a software company based in Vienna, Austria. Founded in October 2000 by orchestral musician Herbert “Herb” Tucmandl, VSL was built around the vision of creating a complete virtual orchestra within a music computer. Above all, the VSL team is dedicated to providing an intuitive and musical approach to the vast array of articulations available in their instruments.

It’s no coincidence that Vienna Symphonic Library’s software instruments are among the most sought-after tools for authentic orchestral arrangements in computer-based music production. While the majority of the sample library focuses on the strings and winds of a symphony orchestra, the Vienna Synchron Piano series also features sampled grand pianos that set a high standard for expressiveness and detail.
