The history of Viscount began in the 1930s under the name “Galanti Accordions.” With the rapid rise of electronic musical instruments in the 1960s, Viscount expanded its activities. Operating under the name “Viscount International” since 1969, the Italian manufacturer entered the rapidly growing market for combo and electric organs.
As Japanese instruments gained popularity, Viscount shifted its focus to developing and producing digital church organs. To this day, Viscount remains one of the leading manufacturers in this field, integrating proprietary technology designed for the authentic reproduction of pipe organ sound into its impressive instruments. The company also recognized the potential of physical modeling at an early stage, a technology that would later make waves with the Physis Piano and the Legend series.
